February 24, 2021 @ 7pm PST/10pm EST
Plan to attend this special program as you’ll leave understanding:
- People Want, Love and Need Story
- The Seven Types of Story
- How to Structure Story into Your Speech
- The Power of PSA: Point, Story, Application
- How Much Easier it is to Just Tell a Story
For many years, I would hear about “Storytelling” and it would just baffle me. I mean everyone knows what a story is and not everyone wants or can be Mark Twain. Sure, I have experiences but my audience needs my “content.” I’m still learning how to truly integrate story into my professional speaking… but the power of story is real.
Wherever you are in the development of your message, you’ll gain great benefits from attending February Speaker Night. All the greats told stories. Heck, that’s all some of them ever did – with phenomenal success.
Increase your knowledge in this key area of speaking and you may be pleasantly surprised to discover that telling a story is A LOT EASIER than giving a speech.
A QUICK STORY ON STORY
I once heard a Hall of Fame Speaker speak on the concept of “there’s truth in every story.” The more he talked, the more I realized what he was actually communicating. Yes, “there’s truth in every story” but in some stories there is very little truth… AND THAT’S OK!
It’s actually preferred as people want to be entertained. Do they really care if your fish was only three inches long if your tale of catching that three footer is more compelling? Hello. I want to hear about the three footer.
People want truth and they deserve truth… but they also want to be entertained and wow’d.
As the late, great Zig Ziglar once said: “It takes a mighty poor speaker can’t tell a story better than it actually happened.”
Don’t be that speaker. Join us for February Speaker Night 7pm WED, 2.24.
