Join us for this unique Open Mic event of traditional tales. This is NOT a storyslam and a storyteller ticket GUARANTEES you a storytelling spot. Sign up soon as availability is limited to 10 teller spots. We are happy to have you join us, whether you’re a seasoned performer or just trying it out.

Your story should be five to six minutes and be a traditional rather than a personal tale.

What do we mean by traditional? A traditional tale is a story that has been re-told for so many years it’s become a story that almost everyone knows. Often referred to as fairy stories or folk tales and can include myths and legends. Think Hansel and Gretel and Little Red Riding Hood. While many traditional stories are well-known, they are made unique via the telling of the tale.

Please: no notes, no stand-up, no rants, no fake accents, please don’t include racism, homophobia, misogyny or any form of hate speech. We try to keep our shows relatively PG-13 so while the occasional f-bomb, is fine, we ask please no gratuitous foul language or graphic descriptions of a violent and/or sexual nature.
