Roads are special places. They take us to and from the places we want to go. They bring us home, take us to visit loved ones. Road trips conjure images of wide open spaces, freedom and opportunity, discovery and adventure.

But just like roads, our lives do not always run parallel or perpendicular. Sometimes they are dark and curvy, wind through canyons and along the side of cliffs. Sometimes the open road gives us bugs on the windshield, gas station pizza, and road construction.
