Many tellers, many tales! Our seventh annual Storytelling Festival presents StoryFest: a wealth of tales from a variety of professional storytellers and talented youths.

Enjoy tales joyful and sad, old and new, made up and true. Best for audiences ages 5-adult.

Please join us for our entire Storytelling Festival! Throughout the month of October, we’ll feature five storytelling events, kicking off with StoryFest. Check the schedule for times, locations and appropriate age ranges.

About Storytelling

Storytelling is telling stories, without using a book.

It’s an ancient art form that predates libraries, and books and writing.
It’s not necessarily for children!
Traditional-style storytelling creates unique images in the mind of each listener.
According to the National Storytelling Network, “storytelling is the interactive art of using words and actions to reveal the elements and images of a story while encouraging the listener’s imagination. In storytelling, the listener imagines the story.”

Location:

This is a hybrid event. Please register in advance and indicate if you will be joining online via Zoom or in-person.
