As a thank you for being a reader of The New Comedy Bible, join us for this creative online event where we will be doing exercises from my book.
So, no matter what happens in 2021, it’s got to be better.
I wrote an article called, “Is it OK to Laugh in Serious Times?“
The answer is “Yes. “For me, finding funny is therapeutic and uplifting. During the pandemic, laughter has truly been the best medicine. Matter of fact — until you get the vaccine – it’s your only medicine.
One of the few upsides of this pandemic has been doing online comedy & speaking workshops. Although I’ve done them for free, the benefit has been meeting talented people from all over the world. Laughing together unites us all whether we live in the States, the UK, China, or Russia. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know – I might be laughing with a hacker.
Funny Tips for 2021
So here are some tips to make your life funnier by doing something different.
- Next time someone asks, “How are you?” Rather than saying “Fine,” tell the truth. “I’m thinking of jumping off a cliff but there aren’t any nearby so I’m watching the sixth season of a show I hate. And, you?”
- Next time you get down about quarantining and that you can’t see your family, just remember the upside — you can’t see your family.
- If you are over 50, post a nasty Tik Tok video of you lip-syncing to WAP by Cardi B. Don’t forget to include twerking. (please tag me as I want to see it)
