October is best known for Halloween, but there are also lots of other observances. For instance, October 9 is also considered a part of Celebrate The Bilingual Child Month, the end of National Newspaper Week, National Moldy Cheese Day (isn’t cheese really just a mold?) and Leif Erikson Day (celebrating the Vikings). Storytellers may tell on these or many of other topics – who knows where the night will lead. The storytellers are from throughout the United States: Elisabeth Anton (CT), Tim Livengood (MD), Miyo Yamauchi & Velvella Weiss (both from California), Mark Goldman (AZ) and Vernon Payne (NY). Our special featured teller of the evening who will give a 25-minute presentation is the incomparable, unpredictable and ever entertaining and engaging Angela Lloyd from California.
